How does your garden grow?

Peppers, tomatoes, and herbs are what we're growing this year and we're off to a great start!

We're trying out the City Picker boxes this time.  Self-watering and they're on wheels too.

I'll let you know how the growing goes.

Cherry tomatoes, beefsteak tomatoes, jalapeno peppers, and datil peppers will be on the menu this summer at our house.

In case you're not familiar with them, datil peppers are a sweet, spicy pepper mostly grown in St. Augustine, Florida. We were lucky to find a few plants at our local nursery this year.

My sons love them!

What are you growing or planning to grow?

As far as quilting goes, I'm working on my Hat Trick Schnibble.

I'm making a few changes to the pattern because my original plan for the background fabrics just didn't work out.

It turns out that when my blocks formed the X's, they all mushed together and I felt like they need to be separated to look nice.

In hindsight, I should have used quieter fabrics for the side squares, but I do like how it's turning out now.

Hopefully I'll be able to show it soon!

I got the cutting done for my "Coins" (from Moda tutes) baby quilt for my granddaughter-to-be in August. I used one charm pack of "Soiree" and one of "City Park" this feels like an easy quilt--which is what I need right now..love your planters! WOW peppers already!! We are still pretty cold up here!! Your garden looks wonderful! I love the idea of a self watering box. I'd love to have fresh veggies and herbs. Some day I'll start super small!

I'm hoping to get some things planted this weekend, at least it's warmer now.

Good luck sorting out your hat trick schnibble. Your plants look so verdant and healthy. Mine are just picking up. I am thinking of growing more herbs in pots this year but we are still having some Wintery days so it is a little early yet.

I'm so envious of your growing season, Michele! We really don't plant until Mother's Day when most of the frost scare is gone. We did however plant something new this year in a pot - it's called a Brazelberry raspberry and is bred for pot growing! I'm crossing my fingers it works because I love raspberries!
Cheers!

Well, you are way ahead of my growing season. I have a lot planted but nothing as big as yours yet. My hubby and I are going to be building more raised beds this weekend for our summertime crops.
