A Winter White Wordless Wednesday

Okay, maybe not so wordless......This Christmas cactus was given to me by my mother-in-law seventeen years ago!  It has bloomed at different times of the year, depending on where we lived.

I've had several different colors of this cactus over the years and they are all lovely. I think the white is particularly charming. But I've never had one survive for SEVENTEEN years! I'm impressed!

Wow! I've had a couple of small Christmas cacti over the years, I could never get them to grow or bloom like that!

Beautiful! My mom gave me a pink one 30 years ago that she got from HER mother about 30 years before THAT! They are both gone now and every holiday...sometime between Thanksgiving and New Year's we see blooms and say 'Mom's here'! I have given cuttings to all the kids, nieces and nephews, and they all email as soon as the first bloom appears! Thanks for a lovely memory!
