Zig Zag

Today I did some quilting.

I'm trying out that zig-zag stitch on the table runner I'm working on and I really like it!

I figured I'd use it for the first time on something small that I'm not too invested in.

The stitch length I'm using on my Bernina is 2.5 and the stitch width is 4.9.

For the spacing I put the outer edge of my walking foot on the highest point, or farthest point I guess, of the previous row.

I'm also using the pattern reverse button every other row.  I don't think I've ever used that button before!  I'm not sure it's really necessary to do this, but it does offset the design a bit.

When it's finished I'll be sure to show you the results!

That looks amazing! This is so funny, I am using that exact same fabric collection to make my Hat Trick table topper for the Schnibbles thing for April. And I will be quilting mine with that same stitch!

oooOOOOOOoo - I wonder if my machine has a pattern reverse button. . . I've often thought frustratedly that it was very odd it only did the blanket stitch one direction. . . heh!

I really like this style of quilting. I wonder if my manual dial Pfaff can do it? I'm jealous of everyone being able to so it on their digital machines.
