My favorite Schnibble so far......

...........is Tagalong!

I used Bar Harbor fabric here, which was appropriate since we lived in Maine at one time and we took a great vacation to Bar Harbor!

With so many to choose from why is Tagalong my favorite?

Well, because it was my first Schnibble!  It's how I got the bug!

I was reading blogs, but I hadn't gotten up the nerve to start my own blog yet, and I wanted to see what these Schnibbles parades and projects were all about.

It looked like fun to make a little project, share it with bloggers, and admire their Schnibbles too.

Once I started I couldn't stop!

It wasn't long until I started my own blog, so I could join the kind, supportive, friendly group of quilters  who make Schnibbles!

Carrie Nelson is the creative mind behind all of the Schnibbles patterns......and she's got tons of other amazing patterns too.  From large to and really, really small!

If you haven't made one of her projects yet, you really need to give them a try.  But be warned, they are like potato chips, you can't have just one!

Sherri and Sinta have done a wonderful job of keeping up with all of the Schnibblers and their projects too!  No small feat!   Thank you ladies so much for all of the time you put into this and for all of your your hard work!!

They will be having a parade of favorites any day now.  Be sure to go on over, visit, and enjoy the show!

By the way, I know there are way too many pictures of just one quilt on this post.  My helper and I were enjoying taking the photos outside, so we took lots and decided this was just as far as we could narrow them down, so I just thought why not include them all!

A few more

This pincushion thing is so addictive!

I went from wondering what all the pincushion fuss was about, to making plenty of my own!

These are made from some leftover blocks from my Mon Ami Schnibble that I pieced a year ago.

I don't remember why I had these extra blocks, but who cares?  They certainly came in handy and I'm really glad I saved them.

A few coordinating Kate Spain charm squares worked perfectly on the back of these blocks and some more pincushions were quickly added to my collection.

Maybe you have a some small leftover blocks laying around that are just waiting to become pincushions.

You might want to take a look!

Fearless Friday

I've spent the week practicing my machine quilting on the frame.

It's not really my favorite thing to do.

Pretty hard and frustrating at times actually.  I've been avoiding it for a few months.

But I suppose the only way to get better is to practice.

Unless someone knows of a way to skip that part.......all of that practice.

A speck of quilting

Before Christmas I finished up the quilting on my Speck.

Just some quilting in the ditch to keep it simple.

I mixed a few mini-charms for this one.

My favorite part has to be the striped binding.

I worked hard to get the stripes to match up all the way around.

I would do something like that.

I do like the backing too.

When the backing, the binding, and the top work perfectly together it makes me happy!

On the subject of pincushions

This beautiful pincushion was recently sent to me by my wonderful friend Carol.

It's so nicely made that I just had to show it to you!

The stitching on the front is lovely and the dots on the back are the perfect finish.

When I made my first pincushion a few weeks ago, I was hoping mine would turn out as nicely as Carol's did! It was my inspiration.  Filled just perfectly too!

A  cute pincushion from a sweet friend!  Thank you so much Carol!

Twill tape

I just love these twill tapes I found at the scrapbook store for my pincushion.

I plan on using them when I make a few more, but I wonder what else I can use them for?
