I'm planning to use this Mama Said Sew fabric during the Friday Night Sew-In this week.
I hope you're able to join us.
I'm looking forward to cutting into theses!! |
It's been a crazy couple of weeks here and I could certainly use the time on Friday night for a sewing break!
A pizza, some treats, a movie from my mailbox, and some fun sewing will certainly be on the agenda for me!
I wanted to share another fun item that recently came in my mailbox.
I won this Blitzen charm pack in Carol's' Christmas giveaway last month. I just love these cute tiny charm packs!
Recently I saw an amazing project made with a mini charm pack, but I can't remember what it was! Ugh! How frustrating!
I remember thinking that I'd like to make it, but now I don't remember what or where it was! What are you making with these little cuties? Maybe I was thinking about what you made, or maybe it will jog my memory.
Thanks for the help with mini charm ideas and thanks to Carol for the fun treat!
Coaster cake! |
Speaking of treats, recently my boy who loves roller coasters had a birthday!
We have a tradition in my house of making special secret birthday cakes. This one just had to be a roller coaster cake, we thought.
After some internet searching and some creative thinking this was the result! Licorice for the track, candy bar pieces for the ground, black frosting for the supports with some sprinkles thrown in for good measure.
We had a fun time making the cake and he had a great day!
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your week!

I remember when the mini charms were 'test' marketed give aways and I received on which I used for the centers of some scrappy stars. Great cake - yes I remember always the special cakes for my kids when young - now my daughter does the same for her boys.
Oh my gosh....I love the cake. I know a grandson who would love that.
Have fun with your sewing.
Great cake Michele!
what a fun cake. Blizten is a great line. Well...how about an Oak Park Bag. The 2 1/2" squares are already cut for you! :o)
Such a fun cake! Have fun sewing!
Look at Pinterest. There is a small book published by Moda that has projects specifically designed for the candy.
