Hello everyone!
It's Fair Week in our town! My son has no school on Friday because it's Fair Day. I'm not kidding about that. It's true!
So, how fun is it that the Minis and More Parade is featuring Fig Tree and Co.'s Mini Ferris Wheel pattern today?
This project by Joanna Figueroa was so much fun to make!
It looks difficult, but it's actually pretty simple to put together. And with only four blocks, mine was finished in no time at all!
If you haven't made it yet, I encourage you to give it a try. Now that I've made Mini Ferris Wheel, I'm thinking of making the full sized quilt version too.
The Ferris Wheel quilt that Kim from Lily Patch Quilts made is amazing! Just gorgeous! Kim didn't make the mini version, she went right for the full size quilt and I'm so glad she did. It's just stunning! Kim did her sewing during some late nights over Spring Break and got this beauty finished.
I had a great time with my Mini Ferris Wheel made with Coney Island fabric. I was only planning on buying the pattern, but once I saw that Joanna had a kit for the Mini on her site, which included this fun mint background, everything I needed for the quilt, backing, binding and all, I decided to get the whole thing! It was my birthday, so why not? What a treat! I'm really pleased with the way it turned out.
And now what you've been waiting for, the announcement of the next featured pattern for Minis and More!
It is Mini Vintage by Camille Roskelley!
Picture from Camille's website thimbleblossoms.bigcartel.com
With a charm pack and a few fat quarters you are ready to make this new Thimble blossoms pattern. Camille is putting a fresh spin on some of her more popular patterns and this is one that has caught my eye. I'm excited that it's the one we're making this month!
Sherri McConnell and I invite you to join us at the next Parade. Simply make the project, send one of us a picture, and we'd be happy to put it in the Parade on May first. Any questions? Just ask!
Everyone entered in the Minis and More Parade is eligible to win our random prize drawing.
Last month's winners were Kim and her daughter Sarah from Lily Patch Quilts.
Don't forget to check out the other half of the Parade on Sherri's blog, A Quilting Life.
Happy Quilting!
I love Kim's and your version they are just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGreat you choose Camille's mini I aleady have the pattern and now the perfect excuse to make it.
Thanks for hosting the parade and Happy belated birthday:-)
I love them both...our county fair will be in town next week!
ReplyDeleteOh, and students here usually miss three days for fair...they are all upset this year because spring break fell on the same week, so they don't get to miss any extra school!
ReplyDeleteI love your quilt. Those fabrics are so pretty! Our fair is in the Summer and even if it's during the school year, there's no missing days.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday! Very cute mini!
ReplyDeleteHow fun to have the day off for the fair!!! I love the fabrics in your mini. The finish is lovely and the full sized one is spectacular too.
