Hey! It's time again for the Blogger's Quilt Festival from Amy's Creative Side!
It's always so much fun to get a chance to see so many beautiful, creative quilts all in one place.
My entry in the Mini Quilt category is this tiny Bennington Schnibble that I made awhile back and swapped with a blogging friend.
Even thought I don't have it anymore, it remains one of my favorites.
I don't even know why, and I guess it really doesn't matter.
I've made many quilts since that are bigger, or more complicated, and even some that have fabric that's more my style, but this one continues to be at the top of my list of my all time favorite quilts.
These pictures were taken when the quilt was made, but I never noticed until now that my quilt holder managed to sneak in a rare appearance.
So of course, I had to include it.
The line of fabrics I used was Urban Cowgirl and I quilted it using my home machine.
I've still got some of this fabric and I'm planning to make another one of these sometime soon.
Okay, maybe not soon, but definitely sometime!
My list of quilts that I'd like to make keeps getting longer and longer!
And I'm sure that after I take some time to enjoy the Blogger's Quilt Festival I'll have to add lots more.
I hope you get a chance to go over and see the show!
It's so pretty! :0)
ReplyDeleteLove the quilting. Scnhibbles are my favourites!
ReplyDeleteNice! I am hoarding my leftovers of Urban Cowgirl for something special. Maybe this is it!
ReplyDeleteSew pretty. I love bow ties in a circular setting.
ReplyDeleteI love this one... I don't think I have made Bennington. I think you need another one to keep!
ReplyDeleteThis is so neat. It looks so good with the time you took to break the stitching lines for the individual elements. Well worth that effort.
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely! And the quilting is perfect. I can definitely see it would be a favourite.
ReplyDeleteLovely - I like the setting you chose for those bowties!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute quilt. I love your quilting. Those little flowers are perfect!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful quilt, fabrics and quilting !
ReplyDeleteThat's very pretty, Michele! I made a large Bennington using a layer cake but I could use one for my dining room wall. I will have to dig in the charm pack stash.
ReplyDeleteLovely mini quilt Michelle. A little like dog bones or bow ties. Great quilting making the most of the design.
ReplyDeleteI see why you like it so much, Michele! I'm with you - my list of quilts to make is SO big!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
This is lovely. I love your quilting and the fabrics you used.
ReplyDeleteMy to do list is ever growing and much longer than the finished list too. I love your son peeking in the edge of the photo!
ReplyDeletewhat is the name of the pattern you used to make that FABULOUS quilt. I am totally in love with it and want to make it ASAP
