I've spent the week practicing my machine quilting on the frame.
It's not really my favorite thing to do.
Pretty hard and frustrating at times actually. I've been avoiding it for a few months.
But I suppose the only way to get better is to practice.
Unless someone knows of a way to skip that part.......all of that practice.
This is why I only quilt loops and straight lines on my sewing machine...I don't like to practice! LOL Your quilting looks great, by the way! :0)
ReplyDeleteI'd say your practice is paying off! I'm just getting started learning to FMQ and have been putting it off for years.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you don't need to practice to me! Your quilting looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!! I'm working on moving on from meandering!
ReplyDeleteLooks good to me!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning. Your quilting looks fabulous! Is it too late for me to join the postage stamp sew a long?
ReplyDeleteWhen you find out to skip that PRACTICE PART, let me know. LOL
ReplyDeleteIt looks great...keep practicing!
ReplyDeleteThat's some pretty good looking practice!
ReplyDeleteDear Michele, your quilting looks great!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day!
No, alas I think practice is the only way. But I think your quilting looks wonderful! So all your practice is paying off.
ReplyDeleteOh, I like this better than feathers - just go with the flow - looks wonderful to me.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great!
ReplyDeleteWaaaaa, I just read through your comments and nobody had a way to FMQ without practicing. Boo Hoo.
ReplyDeleteI like the design you are practicing, I may have to try that one too.
I've been practicing different styles of border feathers on paper, almost ready to practice on fabric.
Keep up the good job (maybe if you call it something other than practicing its not practicing).
I'd love to know too - I feel the same way about it! But, this looks fantastic! o:)
ReplyDeleteIt looks gorgeous! I had a go on a machine at the Birmingham Quilt show- it was amazing. Just think about how much quicker it is than hand quilting. :-)
ReplyDeletePracticing needs accompaniment--maybe you need to listen to your fave music as you do it!
ReplyDeleteLovely swirls, Michele! I need to practice that more and try to get away from pantographs!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
