Prizes! |
I received a prize for my April LePetite from Carrie awhile back, and I'm finally sharing pictures today. These may not be the best pictures I could have taken, but the card was full after a few shots, so I'm just working with what I've got! Collections for a Cause- Faith fabric, the book Fat Quarter Winners by Monique Dillard, a copy of Quiltmaker's100 Blocks, autographed by Carrie and Rosie, and some great fabrics in a clear Schnibbles bag were included in the package. Amazing mail! Thanks Carrie! Until I had a chance to read through Fat Quarter Winners, I didn't realize that it was from Open Gate Quilts, the designers of the Fit To Be Geese Ruler that I love. There are some wonderful quilts in this book!
Countdown to Christmas by Sweetwater- Yes, its still wrapped in plastic. I plan to keep it in that neat little package until I use it! Don't you love the way they wrap it up? In the same week I was lucky enough to win a giveaway at Sugar Spun Quilts sponsored by the Fat Quarter Shop! I guessed which new line of Christmas fabric from The Fat Quarter Shop was Vickie's favorite and then I was chosen by the random number generator! Christmas quilt here I come! Thanks, Vickie and The Fat Quarter Shop! On a different note, this afternoon I mailed pillowcases to Carol. If you aren't aware of her pillowcase project go read about it, and see if you can help! |
What fun, fun mail...thank you for the pillowcases...I'll be watching for them.
ReplyDeleteGreat prizes...I love the Faith fabric and Monique's book. With your luck, you should be heading to Vegas!
ReplyDeleteLucky! I'll be at the beach as much as possible this summer.
ReplyDeleteWow! You are one lucky lady! I plan on spending lots of time outside this summer... living in Canada means the summer really doesn't last very long... gotta get my vitamin D while I can! I'm even thinking about moving my sewing machine outside so I can still quilt on nice days. I hate to be inside when it's sunny out so my quilting really suffers during the summer months.
ReplyDeleteA new magazine, patterns, fabrics...looks like a perfect start to summer. I'm looking forward to it being cooler already. Mother Nature skipped Spring. But I do love the fruits of summer. Lots of pies and cobblers waiting to be baked. My word verification is "berri"
ReplyDeleteWhat fantastic wins! Looks like it's time to start creating!!
ReplyDeleteVery lucky Lady ! I had won at the first Schnibble last year from Carrie Nelson and she send me an amazing package. I love Monique's book, just received :) XO
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful packages you received. DH and I are retired, and living in Florida, summer gets very hot. It gives more hot afternoons to stay inside and work on my quilts. I received my fabrics that I ordered for the pillowcases and hope to get mine in the mail in the next couple of weeks. Hope your summer is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHow did it get to be summer already? I love your pretty mail!
ReplyDeleteSquishy mail is the best! Lucky you, so great. I'm already enjoying the late sunsets and that twilight that only happens this time of year, which I love.
ReplyDeleteOh! I should have mailed my pillowcases today! Got sidetracked by unexpected visitors and wedding projects :)
Congrats on your wins! Both are wonderful. I like the way FQS packages their fabrics too.
ReplyDeleteI'm already looking forward to the cooler temps of fall and winter. It's just so hot here.
Some fantastic winnings, and what perfect timing! Some summer days to work with new, gorgeous fabrics and patterns! Will look forward to seeing what becomes of that wonderful Christmas fabric. Those are so much fun to work with in June. :)
ReplyDeleteYippee!! School is out! There is time for quilting, reading, swimming and waking up without the alarm. What could be better?! Have a great vacation in Hawaii and bring back lots of great fabric :-)
ReplyDeleteNobody packs a goodie bag better than Carrie, I love the patterns in Fat Quarter Winners, I hope you make one or two! Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteMichele, look at that loot! Whoohoo. Well, summer officially started yesterday for us and we enjoyed a fun picnic in the park. IT was a great day.
ReplyDeleteWow! Such lovelies. Can't wait to see what you make out of them.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! You totally hit the jackpot! You go girl!!
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous and generous prizes! I hope you have a lot of fun making things from them. I'm quite liking Christmas Candy at the moment but I'm not even starting Christmas sewing yet.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to pyramids and tombs.
Bonjour
